Will my Sealed Unit Break Down if sat in Water?

One of the major causes of Sealed Unit Breakdown is water attacking the sealant.
Typically, Sealed Units installed poorly into a Window Frame end up in water due to drainage problems of the Frame. The resulting dampness breaks down the sealant; the desiccant absorbs moisture to its capacity, resulting in condensation on the inside of the unit.

delchem D-2000 reacts with the atmosphere/moisture to develop the curing cycle. Therefore D-2000 will NOT Breakdown if sat in water.

The success of delchem D-2000 reacting in this way has resulted in an extended guarantee for up to 20 years.

Whether the single sealed D-2000 is in a Roof Sealed Unit, Window or door, the product will not deteriorate.

With concerns over the quality of some installations,
delchem D-2000minimises the potential of breakdowns through poor installations of Windows, External Doors, Roofs and Sealed Units.
